Lovis Moos was born in 1983 in the vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia, and is a contemporary painter, sculptor, and collage artist. She currently lives and works in Bern, Switzerland. Moos is known for her innovative approach to abstraction. She primarily creates acrylic paintings on jute and poplar wood, sculptures in granite, wood, and Carrara marble, works with collage on pine wood, and creates video art. Her works, often characterized by bold colors and simple geometric forms such as rectangles, circles, and lines, are mainly presented in a square format, giving her artistic practice a unique visual coherence.

Moos's oeuvre is characterized by its exploration of themes such as concentration, balance, clarity, inner peace, and the influx of positive energy. With her abstract tableaux, she seeks to evoke a sense of harmony and tranquility, inspired by the nuances of everyday life and the beauty of nature. Particularly noteworthy is her ongoing engagement with geometric motifs, in which Moos, through precise compositions and vibrant colors, conjures a feeling of calm and order. Her works speak to viewers who, amidst the complexities of the modern world, seek moments of contemplation and introspection.
Her works have been exhibited in Zurich, Bern, Biel/Bienne and London and have been acquired by numerous national and international private collections, confirming her status as an emerging figure in the contemporary art scene.
